How to plan better
Here are issues raised by very experienced managers on how to plan better. The team is always asked to be more innovative and the most important ingredient for innovation is team diversity: a mix of perspectives and experience, younger people who are on the rise, and folks in day to day contact with the customer.
As a strategic planning facilitator and teacher, I learned that if you ask the planning team members to think strategically, they will. The challange is to broaden their perspectives. The team will overcome these obstacles discussed below by keeping folks engaged.
